King John Old Boys CC

Welcome to the KJOB website, we play 'friendly' cricket in the Southend and South Essex area on Sundays only. Our home ground is Waterside on lovely Canvey Island and we only have one team. It is a mixture of the old....Roy Paul, Freddie Lowes, a bit inbetween Denzil Pretlove, Chris Bishop, Paul Blackwell and the young (all the others). If you have a pair of whites or just fancy standing in a field for a couple of hours, please feel welcome to come and play. Our teas are one of the best around!

New Seaon

Well half way through the season and we have had a pretty up and down start. With a power struggle at the top with Dave taking over selection and Fred Lowes stepping down, there have been allot of whispers behind the scenes, mainly from Mark Baker and Roy Paul causing trouble as usual.

Nick Patel has desserted us, his quest for a career at asda as a check out lady his priority. Luckily in his place we have acquired a very useful cricketer by the name of Graham.

Lets try and get as many good results from now until the end of the season and make yourselves available as often as possible to make Daves job that little bit easier.

Fixtures

Roy has done a fine job with the fixtures once again and we only have the odd gap here and there. Lets try and make ourselves available as much as possible as the squad looks a little thinner this year. However we still have enough players to have a successful season.
